Eighteen years ago, when Pastor Anthony & Julia first began their work in Zimbabwe – they began with what they had. Deloris Jackson, one of the founding members of Going Global, brought her expertise as a dental hygenist to the bush, and they began by simply cleaning teeth.
One thing led to another, and the need became greater for medical triage to become part of the dental work that was happening abroad. No one on the team was qualified in the medical field, so Pastor Julia came home and went to school to become a nurse.
Now, through the continued effort of many – there is a fully functioning medical and dental clinic in Highfields, Zimbabwe that is fully funded by Going Global. Hundreds in the surrounding area are now given access to medical and dental care that was not easily accessible.
